Dan’s Going Away Party
We had a small going away party for Dan who’s headed west to Denver in a matter of days. I managed to snap a few memorable pics.

I did the unthinkable; I skipped out on the Urban Initiatives Halloween bash this year. Instead Anna and I ventured up north to Marissa and Lep’s Halloween party at their new house in Milwaukee.

Lep and Dustin. Dustin's mom handmade his costume

Lep and Anna with Niles

Pat Glynn wearing his sister's shorts. I told him once his balls drop he won't be able to wear this anymore.

I'm a cowboy, Lep's a 70's baller. Building a fire in Lep's new place.

Dustin took a number of these photos. He's more obnoxious with his camera than I am with mine.

Anna and Niles the next morning.

On the road the next day I was feeling a bit banged up from the night before but I was saved by a pit stop at the world famous Mars Cheese Castle in Kenosha. It was a slice of heaven from the Promised Land.

Outside the Mars Cheese Castle

Oh the glorious cheese.

Oh the sausage.

Anna posing with the life size cow inside the Castle o' Cheese.
Decided since it was the start of summer it was time to have a house warming party.
Peter Jacobs came in for Camapalooza and decided to visit the crew.
When I have a party you better believe the Last Waltz is playing.

Mowris knows how to party.
Martin and Mike giving Newsman Dan some grief.
Me and my bro Newsman Dan.
CJ.
Nick and I did not arm wrestle at this party – what a shame.
Speedo.
CC showed up fashionably late.
Masood and Rusty in their prime.
Post party at Nick’s.
The End – at least for Peter and I.

To be honest I can’t recall when this photo was taken… Lep just sent it via email. I’m guessing it was around Thanksgiving time – Lep and Ris came through to pay a visit and stay at the Four Seasons. I offered my place for the same price but I guess the Four Seasons provides room service.
I had completely forgotten about my post-Spoon show events until my friend Courtney sent me these photographs today. Courtney came in from Minnesota to party it up with Curls and I. The big night was supposed to Saturday when the rest of Minnesota people made their way into town but I chose Friday (Friday is my night lately).
I split from CJ and the Fam post-Spoon to see these cats and we had a blast. Supposedly I called my friend Kari and left a 10 minute message about how she had to carry me up my stairs (she lives in Minnesota).

Courtney and I are so excited to get our photo taken with Hasselhoff – I should send this to the RedEye as a celebrity spotting.

Tina actually managed to meet us – I think it’s because we were in her neighborhood.

I’m not sexist – I will arm wrestle anyone – and win… I think.

I can’t believe I forgot to post this yesterday under the Ween show. I stumbled into the bathroom at the Aragon and was like, “does that guy have his shirt off?” only to realize that it was Flood who had come to show with me. This was only about an hour into the show, too. I remember Flood saying something to the extent of, “am I the only person at a Ween show with their shirt off?”. Apparently so.
Biz came into Chi the other week and handed me some more photos from his bachelor party. Good times – although it’s always sad to see someone get married. Marriage is the closest you’ll ever come to death.

Randignity knows how to have a good time.

Marriage makes you lose your hair.

Richard’s mustache has to be the greatest facial adornment this side of the Mississippi.
This pic was snapped by the wedding photographer at Bisenius’s wedding… I’m not sure what is more prime – Ben’s fucking mustache or the pose. I laughed out loud when I first saw this.

It’s been a while, I know. I’ve been out of town a bunch lately and I haven’t had a camera on me. I managed to snap this exemplary photo of Reisch in a Limo Bus somewhere in Los Angeles using Shark’s camera. More to come, I’m still waiting on photos…

My friend Shannon has split from Chicago for the greener pastures of upstate New York and then on to Africa working for the ‘Doctors without Borders’ program. We went out to celebrate her final night out on the town, hitting up a few of her favs including the patio at Melvin B’s and Stanley’s in LP (not exactly my normal stomping grounds but enjoyable all the same).
Vaya con dios.
